aGundam AGE Memory of Eden Compilation:

UPDATE Info

The official website for the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE anime confirmed that production on Mobile Suit Gundam AGE Memory of Eden has been green-lit. This project will recompile the television series (from the Asemu arc onward) to focus on the characters Asemu Asuno and Zeheart Galette.

In the AGE anime, Asemu was the main character of the second generation with Zeheart as his antagonist. The television series premiered in October of 2011, and it ended on September 23, 2012. Shortly thereafter, producer Masakazu Ogawa mentioned the tentative plans for a new project featuring these two characters, and he revealed earlier this month that the project had “finally” been green-lit.

Gundam AGE episode director Shinya Watada is helming Memory of Eden at Sunrise with episode writer Noboru Kimura in charge of scripts. Other returning staff members include story supervisor Akihiro Hino, original character designer Takuzō Nagano, character designer Michinori Chiba, and musical composer Kei Yoshikawa. The project will reunite several of the cast members, including Takuya Eguchi as Asemu and Hiroshi Kamiya as Zeheart.

Previous Gundam and Sunrise series have spawned similar “Special Editions” compilations.

1The official Twitter account for Mobile Suit Gundam AGE revealed that the Gundam AGE Memory of Eden compilation will have over one hour of additional material, or almost 1,000 new cuts, storyboarded and directed by Susumu Yamaguchi.

2The project is a compilation of the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE television series with a focus on the characters Asemu Asuno and Zeheart Galette. It will ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on July 26.
