Gunpla Real Grade 1/1 Scale Gundam RX-78-2 in July 2010

Announced in Dec 2009 last year and in Jan 2010 (my two previous posts), the 1/1 scale statue will be reinstalled this year in front of JR Higashi-Shizuoka Station, Aoi-ku, Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan (ＪＲ東静岡駅前の市有地 – 同市葵区長沼). Bandai announces that visitors going to Shizuoka this year will see a different version of Gundam RX-78-2 as compared to the original display @ Shiokaze Park:

Beam saber and a new display pedestal for the statue, as seen in these two images.

Display period : 24 July 2010 till 10 Jan2011 !!!

New name of the statue:

Gunpla Real Grade 1/1 Scale Gundam RX-78-2
