From the Modeler:

I tried making the HGUC G-Line Standard Armor with a molding color finish and α. The G-Line… setting started with the M-MSV over 30 years ago, and at the time it was only called the model number RX-81.

It was refined by Hajime Katoki in the game “Mobile Suit Gundam Senki” (PS3), and while it is a successor to the Gundam series, it still retains the “fully mass-produced Gundam” feel with elements of the GM, and when the design was announced, I thought “I want it to be made into a kit”. The main units in Gundam Senki, such as the Full Armor Gundam Unit 7 and Efreet Nacht, have been made into kits, but… it’s been over 10 years since the game came out, and I thought it was hopeless to make a kit of the G-Line.

However, now that Premium Bandai is available, kits are sometimes made suddenly, and this G-Line was selected last year (lol), so I decided to make it as the first in the “Usa-o Side Stories Unit Katoki-style Project”!

The decals used were mainly from Gundam Decals for Side Stories, HGUC Unicorn Gundam, and Hathaway’s Flash, but I also used a number of commercially available decals to create a Katoki style.
