AK彦’ s remodeling work “Devil Gundam Artifact” many images, wip too, description and credits
From the Modeler:
This is the Devil Gundam from the “Assemblyable MS Head Display” that was released as a prize item in 2009.
I’ve treasured it since then, but the upper Gundam has become damaged due to aging, so I took this opportunity to modify it.
The upper Gundam part was made by mixing and matching the Hi-Nu Gundam from Gundam Artifact.
The neck, shoulders, and elbows are movable.
The joint between the upper Gundam and the Gundam head uses the waist part from HG Elf Bullock.
Mother Tentacles (barnacles) from BB Senshi Devil Gundam are attached to enhance the Devil Gundam feel.
Turning the upper Gundam into an artifact made the Gundam head look flat, so details have been added.
It was painted with spray cans, and the fine details were painted with Citadel Colors.
I really wanted to put caution marks on it, but since Devil Gundam is a self-regenerating, living thing, there’s no need for maintenance, and I thought it would be strange to have caution marks on it, so I didn’t.
The paint was getting sticky over the years, so I was looking for something to replace it with, and I happened to be making an Artifact, and thought it would work given the size.
I mixed things up randomly, and the head and torso are from Hi-Nu. The arms and wings on the back are from Mark II, and the shoulders are from W Gundam and Tallgeese.
I used the waist part of the HG Elf Bullock to join the Gundam head.
Detailing the Gundam head.
At first I was going to hide it with grooves, but I wanted to create a difference in height, so I stuck 0.3mm plastic sheet on the surface that would be on the top. I made an opening and added detail parts.
The antennae, face, etc. were just re-carved into the shallow mold and painted.
I think the only official three-dimensional representation of Devil Colony is this “Assembly Type MS Head Display Collection,” so I’m very happy that I was able to modify it into something so cool!
