The Federation, which felt threatened by the Zeon’s local combat MS, had been secretly developing a local combat specification Guncannon, and so we have created one!

In particular, they focused on the Dom’s hovering motion, and added a hovering device to the legs of the Guncannon, which is also a heavily armored MS

A special high-output backpack was used to make up for the lack of power

A beam cannon specialized for short to medium range was added to the armament to make use of the surplus energy

After repeated testing, it was put into practical use, but the unique hovering motion had a strong quirk, and the rate of hits increased significantly.
In response to this, the front was equipped with additional armor made from the armor of the Ground Gundam and GM, which were scheduled to be scrapped.

Although it was known that the armor of the Guncannon was strong enough to withstand the attack, the pilots did not have a good reputation for it due to the high hit rate, so development was discontinued after a few battles…

Front
The curved movement style of the hovering run makes it easier to predict the position, so it is covered in additional armor to reduce the increased hit rate.

The additional armor is several levels weaker than the main body, so it is disposable because it is designed to protect the main body by flying away every time it is hit.

Left side
An arm is added to the original cannon base to install a beam cannon.
It is now possible to take more flexible firing angles!

Backside
Equipped with a high-output backpack, it achieves the hovering movement of a Guncannon, which is a heavy MS category.
Compared to the front, the back has no additional armor, so it has the form of a basic Guncannon.

The cannon can be folded up for close-range blasts, so it’s a safe design even with a lot of frontline personnel.

A charge style that steals the show from the Dom.
The structure makes use of the additional armor on the collar and protects the main camera from the barrage by lowering the head.

In order to ensure the ability to continue fighting while wreaking havoc with a single-unit suicide attack, the two cannons are controlled by AI. Realized automatic control
The survival rate is increased by having the pilot concentrate on the unique operation of the MS!

The main camera and the spotlight on the left shoulder, which I made myself using plastic pipes and rods, are painted with fluorescent paint and emit light.

However, the collar is deep, so it is difficult to shine a black light on it.

Rather than looking for a high-output backpack, it would be quicker to make one myself.

I tried to imitate the Zaku MineLayer backpack by copying what I saw, but when I combined it with the Builders Parts MS Vernier 02 that I got at a mass retailer I stopped by, it turned out to be something completely different.

But I looked at the parts I made for a while and grinned. I ended up making it into my favorite model

I googled images of hovercraft and somehow made the rubber parts with epoxy putty

I tried to protect the leg parts with masking tape so that the epoxy putty wouldn’t stick to them, but after it dried, some parts became impossible to peel off

I had a leftover MS Vernier Large, so I decided to use it as a front skirt instead, so I cut off the axis and fixed it with epoxy putty

The weight of the epoxy putty lowered the center of gravity quite a bit, so it became a model that could stand on its own

I put all the armor I made on it and checked the balance

Since the Guncannon has a rounded silhouette, I tried to make the additional parts as straight and right-angled as possible

It’s overwhelmingly easier to spray with an airbrush, and I was amazed by the moist matte texture of the Premium Top Coat…
