■ Considering the direction after assembly
It doesn’t seem like it will need much post-assembly processing.

Released in April 2013, it’s a kit from over 10 years ago, but it’s done well.

But it’s kind of flat, not very stylish, and not very cool.
Is it because the head is big and the style is bad?

Huh? Is the head really big?
I was curious, so I measured it.

The decal explanation diagram for the RG Mk2 I made last time is 8.2 heads, and the cover photo of the Ez-8 blueprint is 6.6 heads…

Yup! It’s not just my imagination. It’s essential to improve the head-to-body ratio by extending various parts.

So, what should I do?
Is the upper body too bulky? Or are the legs too thin?

It’s a machine that was remodeled on-site.

If you think about it, they’re just sticking everything they have on, so it’s not right to remove the bulkiness…

So, let’s stick it on the legs.
Before the Z era, I think I’ll go for a transitional feel like the high-mobility Zaku, when thrusters and armor couldn’t be fully contained.
Oh, it doesn’t fit here, so I’ll have to connect it with an external pipe, it’s a very bulky feel.
And since they’re going to the trouble of remodeling it on site, it’s definitely on the front lines.
Considering that, it doesn’t seem to have many weapons. Let’s give it what it can carry and attach what it can.

■Head

It looks kind of ugly… it was cool in the anime…
Maybe the eyes are too big. Should I shave them down and make them thinner?
Also, does it have a chin guard? It’s a robot. It doesn’t have anything to do with protecting the chin or preventing concussions.
It seems like it’s making the face look big and unbalanced in some places, so let’s get rid of the chin guard.

Also, does it have an antenna?
Back in the day, even cell phones had to extend their antennas, but smartphones don’t.
That said, does it look good for a frontline look?
I get that it’s high up, but is it weird to have it on the movable head?
Should I put it on the backpack or the torso?
Should I just cut out the hooks and make it look like it has a double structure like the Mark II, using plastic sheeting?

Arms
Is it okay to just carve them out and make some decorations?
I want to have guns in both hands. Should I tweak the fingers on the left hand so that it can be held?

Chest
Is the surface of the additional chest armor too wide, making it too assertive, and making it look too bulky?
Should I make it thinner, or divide it into faces or something?
What’s that protrusion on the back? Is it a hook? I’ll just drill a hole in it, assuming it’s a hook.

■Stomach

Does it feel tight and cramped?
Maybe I should extend the waist by about 2mm to make it slimmer.

■Skirt

The face is wide~
I don’t think it would be nice to extend it downwards, so maybe I’ll just add some grooves.
Maybe I should add some accents like the Scope Dog to give it a field feel.

■Legs

As per my initial thoughts, I’ll go with a gaudy, retrofitted look.
It’s designed for mobility in the field, so there are a lot of thrusters for hovering.
Since I’m extending the torso, I might extend the ankles to make space and do something about the inside.
What’s the instep damper for? Even for 1/144, it’s only a little bigger than the suspension of a car, so it doesn’t seem to be much use…
Maybe I should make an instep out of plastic sheet metal.
I wonder if I should make high heels? I’ll give up.

■Backpack

I don’t think I need a parachute.
The center is concave, so maybe I can attach a bazooka like the Nu Gundam.
I think I’ll add some thrusters to the protrusions on top to make it look like the Mark 2.

■Color
08 is Aina Sahalin.
I did white and blue the other day, so this time I’ll go with Aina colors and Aina’s machine.
I don’t want to add any clutter to the legs because Aina is used to the power of the Apsaras, so the Ez8 is not powerful enough, so I’ll make it more mobile!
Or something like that.
I’ll make some stickers for the shield to make it easier to understand.

◎In the end, with the usual extension of the neck 1mm, belly 2mm, and ankles 2mm, plus the removal of the chin guard to make the face smaller, it’s about 7.5 heads tall.
I think it looks a lot sharper. I’m quite satisfied with the result.
