Miura designed Clara de Porras, the new “publicity” character that serves as the public face of the film project’s Twitter account and other promotional activities. The design was unveiled on Tuesday, and Comic Natalie and Mantan Web are among the websites that posted it.
The previously announced Berserk anime film project will retell the Golden Age arc of Kentaro Miura’s manga in three parts. The title of the first part, Berserk Ōgon Jidai-Hen I: Haō no Tamago (Berserk Golden Age Arc I: Egg of the Supreme Ruler), was revealed last week. The first film will open in Japan next January.
三浦建太郎原作の劇場アニメ「ベルセルク 黄金時代篇I 覇王の卵」の広報キャラクターを、三浦が自らデザイン。本日7月12日、直筆のキャラクターイラストが公開された。
クララ・ド・ポラスと命名された広報キャラクターは、主人公ガッツが所属する「鷹の団」の広報官として、ミッドランド王国より派遣された女性という設定。映画本編への出演はないが、映画の宣伝Twitterを中心に、広報担当としてたびたび登場する予定だ。
また劇場アニメ「ベルセルク 黄金時代篇」は、3部構成であることも発表された。2012年1月にロードショーとなるパート1を皮切りに、順次公開される予定だ。監督を務めるのは、 「Genius Party 上海大竜」「巌窟王」などに携わった窪岡俊之。アニメーション制作は「鉄コン筋クリート」などを手がけたSTUDIO4℃が担当する。
