This Gundam Unicorn costume is my 8th mecha costume. It took almost a year to build. Its made from 1mm PVC sheets, EVA foam and fiberglass.
All the markings were designed in photoshop and cut from adhesive vinyl. It has 8 meters of remote controlled LED lights, a built in sound system and weights about 40 lbs in total.
The costume was designed for long distance travel and is able to break down to a size small enough to be checked as baggage on a airplane.
It has various magnetic parts that allow it to break into small pieces that can nest within one another to be packed tightly.
