Description of item
The NRX-055 Baund Doc is a transformable mobile armor which appeared in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam animation works. Its known units were piloted by Rosamia Badam, Gates Capa, and Jerid Messa (alongside instructor Loren Nakamoto).
The name of the Baund Doc (バウンド・ドック) is derived from the Katakana for “Hound Dog” (ハウンド・ドッグ). It is also loosely spelled similar to Bandock, the four-legged alien space fortress from Invincible Superman Zambot 3 which Yoshiyuki Tomino worked in seven years prior.
From “Mobile Suit Z Gundam”, the Baund doc is in HG Series with a total height of about 190 mm!

以上です。近年の高いガンプラ技術によるキット化なので、全体的な構造も色分けもよく、より精密で再現性の高いキットになっていると思います。大型サイズのキットなので迫力がありますし、ゼータガンダムなど通常サイズのHGキットと並べると圧倒的な存在感が味わえるのがいいですね。
欠点的なものはほとんどないですが、かかとのクロー装甲がぽろりしやすいのが少し気になりました。あと、部分的に合わせ目ができるので、そのあたりが気になるところでしょうか。
変形機構もかなり細かいですし、上半身がうまく格納できる構造で秀逸。納得のプロポーションになっていますし、可動も柔軟なのでダイナミックなポージングも楽しめるのもいいですね。そして何より、キット化された事自体が嬉しいですね。
